At the Bay Area Poetry Marathon, poets from across the U.S. and the Bay Area celebrated innovative poetry in a series of readings throughout the summer.
Co-founded and curated by poet Donna de la Perrière, the Marathon began its run at the Art Institute of Boston in 2001 and was held in various gallery and performance venues around San Francisco (including Alley Cat Books, Artists’ Television Access, The Emerald Tablet, and The Lab) from 2004 through 2019.
